About

In the development of this project, we asked a great number of people about the term “chicken outfit” and what it means. We were mostly met with blank stares and crusty melon scratching until I finally went to my grandfather, who gave us the best and most appropriate description. (In fact, the one we had in mind when titling the comic and subsequent strips.)

The phrase “Get me out of this chicken outfit!” goes back to World War II, when a competent soldier was put with a platoon of incompetent cowards. As time went on, the phrase has come to mean anyone involved with a group of people (more often than not in a poor office environment) who are completely inept or ineffectual in the eyes of the person uttering the phrase.

By extension, being in a “chicken outfit” is to be stuck in a completely idiotic and degrading job situation without escape.

“Chicken Outfit”, the graphic novel, will concern a group of highly over-paid porn company employees that discover that their souls are slowly being sucked dry, not just by the job they’ve foolishly shackled themselves to, but by a force so sinister they could have never imagined the depths to which society is willing to sink for greed and power.

The strips that are currently online are here for your persual, in the meantime, so look forward to the full length serialized tale of horror, sci fi, sex, relationships, money, cyber-life, and live bait soon…

Enjoy!
